Torgesen Murdock is a modern impressionistic painter who uses her brushstrokes and excellent design to create figurative, landscape and still life paintings.

Torgesen recently spent a month in Spain and Portugal and two weeks in China painting and studying art at the many galleries and museums. The Sorolla home and museum in Madrid and the Thyssen Borensen Art Museum as well as the Prado and Reina Sophia were incredible. Barcelona, Seville, Toledo and Granada also have inspiring collections. She studied for a month at the Repin in St. Petersburg, Russia under Igor Vademovich Petrov and has also traveled extensively for arts sake in Italy, Greece, France, England and Scotland.
